Hunting Lodge ist eine US-amerikanische Industrial-/Experimental-Band, die 1982 von Lon C. Diehl, Richard Skott und Carla Nordstrom (damals noch Karl Nordstrom) in Port Huron, Michigan, gegründet wurde. Ihr erstes Live-Konzert fand im September 1982 im Harrington Ballroom des Harrington Hotels statt. Die Aufnahme entstand mit einem tragbaren Kassettenrekorder und wurde später ihre erste Veröffentlichung auf ihrem eigenen Label S/M Operations. Das Album „Nomad Souls“ erschien im Herbst 1984 in den USA bei S/M Operations und im darauffolgenden Frühjahr in Großbritannien als Vinyl-LP bei Side Effekts Records. Die Show markierte den Höhepunkt der Tribal-Phase der Band, die im darauffolgenden Jahr mit der 12"-Single „Tribal Warning Shot“ ihren Höhepunkt fand. Der Titeltrack wurde mit zusätzlichen Drums für eine 12"-Single (45er) bei Normal Records (Deutschland) neu abgemischt. Die Kassette „Harvest“ enthielt Live-Tracks aus der Hunting Lodge um 1984 und erschien auf Sleep Chambers Label Inner-X Music. Das gesamte Material wurde 2024 für eine Vinyl-LP remastert und ist nun erstmals als Doppelalbum auf CD erhältlich. Zusätzlich gibt es den Bonustrack „Learn To Will I“, der nicht auf der 3-LP-Box enthalten ist und auf der Beast-666-Compilation von Nekrophile Records erschien. | | | Hersteller/Einführer Angaben | |
